If they are going to force matchmaking for Hell1+ and on, then they should put in the effort to actually develop the dungeons to warrant matchmaking in the first place. Otherwise, if I'm capable of soloing it, let me solo it, work on my own time, and not have to worry about people going my pace. ![]() On the other side, in many MMOs, when matchmaking is required for a dungeon, it's because there are aspects of the dungeon that have mechanics that require multiple people. In DI, it's not even easier with more people with the way the way scaling works and there's no clear advantage to grouping outside of the forced requirements to obtain certain rewards. But even if you can, unless you out level/gear the dungeon, you'd have to work harder or there's a clear disadvantage to not grouping (not talking about rewards). In many MMOs, you can actually choose to enter dungeons solo. They just arbitrarily made it so you can only get normal gems if you have 4 people. Why? As I said, the dungeons as they currently stand aren't developed to warrant groups in terms of completion.Īnyone half-decent at this type of game could effectively solo any of the dungeons right now assuming they aren't completely undergeared. As someone who has played quite a few MMOs, the "This is an MMO" argument people toss around honestly rings hollow.
